چکیده
In this study, the mechanical properties of geopolymer mortar composites containing different nanomaterials were investigated. Metakaolin (MK) and fly ash (FA) used as binders in samples. Sodium silicate (Na2SiO3) sodium hydroxide (NaOH) solution (12 M) alkali activators. Multi-walled carbon nanotube (MW-CNT), nano-SiO2 (NS), nano-ZnO (NZ) study. Geopolymer samples without determined control samples, 0.5% by weight MW-CNT, NS, NZ prepared. All prepared cured at 20±2 °C laboratory conditions for 7 days 28 days. The curing carried out with compressive strength flexural tests. As a result all increased compared to highest obtained from MW-CNT. These followed NS NZ, respectively.

Geopolymers are a new promising binder manufactured by activation of a solid aluminosilicate source material with a highly alkaline activating solution and aided by heat. Fly ash, considered to be a waste material is rich in silica and alumina and hence can be used as a source material for manufacture of Geopolymers. These binders have been reported to achieve high early strength and better dur...

Effects of Nano-SiO2 on Setting Time and Compressive Strength of Alkali- activated Metakaolin-based Geopolymer
This study presents a discussion on the effects of different solid-to-liquid (S/L) ratios (0.97 to 1.19) and nanoSiO2 (NS) percentages (0% to 3%) on some properties of metakaolin (MK)-based geopolymers. The setting time and compressive strength were investigated. Mercury intrusion porosimetry, fourier transform infrared spectroscopy, and scanning electron microscopy were used to determine the m...
